The 8th Month

This past weekend Miss Fenna Mae turned 8 months old!  And I cannot believe it!  This year is absolutely flying by and Fenna is hitting milestones left and right!  She now eats homemade baby food twice a day, but I think we will be about ready to bump it up to 3 times pretty soon!  So far she has had peas, green beans, sweet potato, acorn squash, avocado, carrots, and banana.  She had some trouble with the peas at first, but besides that has been eating everything else like a champ!  She is also SO CLOSE to crawling now!  She gets up on her hands and knees, but hasn't quite mastered moving forward yet!  She has inched back a bit a few times, so we are still working on it!  I honestly think she may start walking before she crawls, but we will see!  She also loves blowing raspberries!  She will do so for about 15 minutes straight, take a little break, and then start again, so cute!  For the first time yesterday I left her sitting in the living room while I went down to check on the laundry (David was close enough to keep an eye on her), and when I got back up she was STANDING on her own!  That was the first time she pulled herself up completely on her own!  I was probably a little too excited!  She is also still sleeping through the night for the most part.  She did have a couple weeks this month where she either did not want to go to sleep at bed time, or she woke up 2 to 3 times a night.  Thankfully that phase passed pretty quickly and we are back to sleeping 9 to 10 hours a night!  I have the best baby!  Here are some memories from her 8th month!!

Crooked Little Bum

I just had to document this cute, crooked little bum!  When Fenna was born she had a crooked dimple above her bum.  The nurses said they had never seen that before, so we had to take her down for an ultrasound of her spine the day after she was born.  Thankfully, this is only cosmetic, and her spine was completely formed and straight.  As her mother, I of course think it is just the cutest thing and had to take some pictures while she was still little enough for it not to be embarrassing!  Just one of the things that makes our little Fenna unique!!
