This past weekend Miss Fenna Mae turned 8 months old! And I cannot believe it! This year is absolutely flying by and Fenna is hitting milestones left and right! She now eats homemade baby food twice a day, but I think we will be about ready to bump it up to 3 times pretty soon! So far she has had peas, green beans, sweet potato, acorn squash, avocado, carrots, and banana. She had some trouble with the peas at first, but besides that has been eating everything else like a champ! She is also SO CLOSE to crawling now! She gets up on her hands and knees, but hasn't quite mastered moving forward yet! She has inched back a bit a few times, so we are still working on it! I honestly think she may start walking before she crawls, but we will see! She also loves blowing raspberries! She will do so for about 15 minutes straight, take a little break, and then start again, so cute! For the first time yesterday I left her sitting in the living room while I went down to check on the laundry (David was close enough to keep an eye on her), and when I got back up she was STANDING on her own! That was the first time she pulled herself up completely on her own! I was probably a little too excited! She is also still sleeping through the night for the most part. She did have a couple weeks this month where she either did not want to go to sleep at bed time, or she woke up 2 to 3 times a night. Thankfully that phase passed pretty quickly and we are back to sleeping 9 to 10 hours a night! I have the best baby! Here are some memories from her 8th month!!

Crooked Little Bum
I just had to document this cute, crooked little bum! When Fenna was born she had a crooked dimple above her bum. The nurses said they had never seen that before, so we had to take her down for an ultrasound of her spine the day after she was born. Thankfully, this is only cosmetic, and her spine was completely formed and straight. As her mother, I of course think it is just the cutest thing and had to take some pictures while she was still little enough for it not to be embarrassing! Just one of the things that makes our little Fenna unique!!

Christening Gown
Yesterday we had a chance to do something that I had been meaning to do for quite awhile. If you can't tell by now, it usually takes me awhile to get around to things, which is not necessarily the best trait to have, definitely working on that! Anyway, Fenna Mae and I went down to visit my parents and got some pictures of Fenna in my mom's christening gown!! It was so amazing to see Fenna in a beautiful gown that my mother had worn years ago when she was a little one! My sister has also had pictures of all of her children taken in it, so this is a very special tradition in our family now. I am so happy with the results and I know we will cherish these for years to come!

The 7th Month
This past month has absolutely flown by, i think it may have been the fastest one yet! Fenna seems to grow daily! She now has two little teeth (bottom middle) and besides a few fussy nights, doesn't complain too much about them coming in. She is still not too interested in crawling, she is content scooting around on her back, but in the last few days she has pushed herself up on her hands and knees for a few seconds at a time! I still don't know if I am ready for her to be mobile yet!! This little girl has the coolest little personality (although I am biased, I know!). You can tell already that she is going to be smart, like her daddy! When she has something in her sights she will furrow her brows and stare intently at it until she has it figured out, she's definitely going to be a thinker. In a new surrounding, she is quiet for a while while she looks around and takes everything in. This past week, we have unfortunately been battling her first cold, and although her little nose is completely stuffed up and she can't breathe and eat at the same time, she has still been the happiest, smiliest little person! Thankfully the cold is on its way out, but now we have rash that she has gotten in the last few days that we are trying to figure out. As always, some memories from her 7th month!!

Big Sister!!
The announcement has been made that Fenna Mae is going to be a big sister in September 2014! We are so excited for this new addition to our family and cannot wait to see Fenna as a big sister! I think she is going to be so sweet and loving, her little personality already shows those qualities. Today we are 9 weeks along, so it is still early, but everything looked great at our 8 week appointment! I am so excited to go through this process again, I absolutely loved being pregnant with Fenna so I am looking forward to this pregnancy as well! With Fenna i had absolutely no morning sickness in the first trimester, but this pregnancy has been a little different already. I did have some nausea, light-headedness, and exhaustion for the first few weeks, but thankfully it has already passed and I have been feeling pretty good for the last couple of weeks. I hope it keeps up!! Here are some outtakes of Fenna as we were trying to get a good announcement pic!
The First Tooth
Whelp! Fenna's first tooth has made an appearance as of yesterday, and we didn't even realize she was teething yet! But it is definitely there, and it is razor sharp! Her first tooth is on the bottom, center left. This little girl didn't even let on that it was coming in or that she was in any pain! I hope the rest of them appear just as painlessly for her! I can't believe her little toothless smile will soon be filled with some pearly whites, she is just growing up too fast!

The 6th Month
Fenna Mae is 6 months old today and I absolutely cannot believe it! These past six months have just flown by! This month has held a lot of changes for us, and little Fenna just keeps growing and growing. Her six month clothes are on the verge of being too small and the nine month clothes fit her the best. She is all smiles all the time! She loves watching Coney and laughing...cutest laugh ever! She also scoots on her back, she is not interested in crawling forward yet, but she can move herself across the room on her back! This past Sunday she began sitting up completely by herself for the first time, and now three days later she is a pro at it! I love watching her grow and change daily, she is such a blessing! Here are some memories from her sixth month!!
